For teachers and investment clubs

Free for a class

The lessons of stage 1, the first practice flight, the earnings check, the Research Lab and the question pages are free, with no sign-up and nothing collected from students: progress stays in each student's own browser. Every number comes from a stated formula (Black–Scholes) on simulated markets, labelled as such. Nothing on the site recommends a trade.

A ten-minute session

  1. Predict (2 minutes). Ask: a stock rises $2 the morning after its report; does a call bought the night before gain? Take a show of hands.
  2. Try it (3 minutes). Open this page and press "The morning after earnings": the call goes from $3.51 to $3.02. Each bar is one force: the stock's rise, time, and the fall in implied volatility.
  3. See it (3 minutes). In the lesson on the crush, the 3D card shows the whole surface sinking while the call rides on it.
  4. Test a claim (2 minutes). In the Lab, a streak, or skill? runs 100,000 simulated traders, most of them coin flips: many win long streaks by luck alone.

For a club that meets weekly

A new practice case every Monday (the weekly clinic) gives a club one decision to argue about: a loss limit, a trade or none, and every outcome over thousands of simulated paths afterwards. The full course and the clinic are part of the paid subscription; write to us about access for a class.
